The jubilant background music and the lovely image appeared on the video bring audience a feeling of peace and happiness. This video also shows different culture such as Africa dancing. And I think those different culture are related to the topic—globalization. Discovery Channel always shows the top technology and introduces the many culture in foreign countries. It helps the audiences who watch this Channel will know more about the world or will incite curiosity of audiences to learn the culture of other country. Connection between cultures will help to expand globalization. So Discovery Channel is real a good program for expanding globalization. People all around the world are greeting to the scene they saw and describing their strong emotion of loving the whole world.
At the beginning of the video, there are two astronauts space walking in the universe. They are facing and looking at the earth, which emphasizes the globalization by showing the earth as a whole in the cosmos. Also, during their conversations, they mention that the earth never gets old, which reflects the theme of this commercial—the world is just awesome. Then, looking into the earth, two astronauts express their love to mountains, clear blue sky, bridge, flying big whale and the whole world. By showing pictures of these nice things from different places and beautiful night of Hong Kong, the video conveys how wonderful the things are over the world. Next, the video shows different images of people doing different jobs. A man is dealing with dirty things; a woman is doing dissection on a Egyptian king; Monks are reciting outside the temple. No matter how hard or how boring their jobs are, they all express their love to their jobs. After that, the video shows the image of people who do researches on dangerous things or explore under dangerous situations, like tornado, arachnids, hot magma and giant squid. However, they contribute their loves to them even though they need to take risks. All the images show that our world is awesome since it is full of love.

If we highly summarize their meanings, it should be “I love the whole world” just like people sing it at the end of the video. Globalization connects this diversity world between people and other things. And just because people like discovering the world, we are getting closer. In fact, lots of occupations are worth to care. People in distinct careers repeat to sing “I love…”. They love their jobs, no matter they are honorable, hazardous, dirty, exciting or odd. Why put these things into a commercial whose main purpose is to get people to watch your network? Wouldn't you only want to put in things that are universally liked in order to draw more viewers? If you look closer at the advertisement you will see that these things are presented in a very non threatening and almost appealing manner. The sewer that is being explored isn't a dark creepy looking place, it's sunny and almost serene. The arachnid that Bear Grylls is holding is not being aggressive, it's just sitting peacefully on its hand. The discovery channel is showing that even though you might think you yourself might not love certain things that they are showing, they are somewhat inviting you to find out why other people love them and pique your interest in that way.
